a scholastic castle:: hatley castle, BC

hi everyone! happy monday! i recently announced (on facebook…haha) that i’m in the works of developing a new website. i want to start with something simple that will beautifully showcase my work (and allow me to grow as a brand), and as a result, the current look of this blog may be changing soon to match my new website. i’m so excited to finally be able to put the dot-com i purchased a few months ago to use.  it’s still in process, though, so if you search for photographybypaulina.com now, you won’t see it. but don’t worry, i’ll be announcing its debut on facebook, so stay connected with the photography by paulina facebook page to be first to hear of the release. while i’m busy fine-tuning the new look, i thought i’d continue the vacation story for you. =)

if you’ve been following the story, you’re probably on the isle of victoria, british colombia, exiting the gates of the ever-beautiful butchart gardens, wondering where to go next. seated in your car, you open your map of tourist destinations in victoria and your eyes glide across the page as you read, “HATLEY CASTLE.” hidden on the campus of royal roads university stands hatley castle, the over 100-year-old landmark that now doubles as a college administration building. one hour later, you manage to find the secluded castle, and this is what you see…

where will this series take you next? stay tuned!

love&love,

paulina

(p.s. i thought this fire hydrant was so cute and i had to photograph it! what do you think??)
